Rifle ID help needed part 2

Ok, here's some pics of a second rifle my friend recently inherited.  My searching leads me to believe it may be an Tokarev SVT-38 or 40.  Thought I'd pass it by the knowledgable here for help with the ID.  Thanks,

 

 

 

 

 

 

I was able to enlarge the pic of the receiver top to see the markings...don't seem to be able to do it here.

Yes it is a svt I am not sure which one but someone will reply with the correct one and very nice looking rifle I am jealous! Is it chambered for 7.62x54r?

SVT-40. The 38s had barrel bands and a two piece handguard.

I'm not sure about the caliber, I'll ask him if shows the caliber anywhere on it.

Definitely SVT-40.  Caliber 7.62x54r.  Where's the magazine?  It alone is worth a small fortune.

i have heard its hard to clean after firing surplus ammo

Its an SVT40, refurbed by the russians. Shoots 7.62x54r. Not Very hard to clean -biggest trick is taking the spring and rod out without it shooting across the room.

It does not look the same. The stain marks around the screw. behind the finger grooves, are different.
