Well I was thinking more on the lines of a channel within the magazine to keep them held in line and stacked on top of one another.  Then again I guess that would lead to rim lock potentially so never mind.  Hadn't thought that far ahead.

I remember seeing, somewhere, pictures and (maybe) a write-up about just such a thing that some guy custom built.  IIRC, it had a 'skeletized', folding shoulder stock.  It also had a rifle length barrel.  It has been a couple of years since I saw that but I'll see if I can dig up a link for you.

 

EDIT:  Well, so far these, two little pics are the best I can do.  You can search for NAA bicycle rifle to see if your luck is any better than mine.  On BING, these pics showed up in the thumbnail preview but the full sized pics were unavailable (hence the small size.)

Chiappa has a similar style rifle out now but it's single shot versus 5 shot.  Threaded for a can too.

Yep, exactly.   I've been wanting something like that ever since I saw it lol.  It fills a niche IMO, there's nothing else out there in that size range with 5 rounds on tap.  The Chiappa, Pack Rifle, cricket are all single shots.   Even the AR-7 is bulkier

I don't know that it would be worth the effort of building one, to me, but if NAA were to put something like that into production I'd have a bad case of the 'wants'.

 

I am a revolver fan, in general.  Sure, revolvers can jam but - as a matter of course - they don't.  Semiautos, especially rimfire, are often a different story.  Get a convertible model NAA in that configuration and you could reliably use .22 short, .22 Long, .22 Long Rifle, .22 WRF, .22 WMR and either flavor of .22 shotshells (without the issue of a shotshell potentially not having the oomph to cycle a semi-auto.)  Pretty versatile and all in a package that would fold up to carry/store.  If NAA built the rifle on a 'Ranger' (break top) or maybe a 'Sidewinder' (swing out cylinder) mini to make reloading faster and easier such a thing would be a lot of plinking fun as well as pretty useful, IMO.

 

Further, I have been a fan of the idea of a revolver rifle/carbine ever since I saw some in a Civil War museum.  I was interested in them - and wishing someone would build one - long before Taurus/Rossi introduced the Circuit Judge.  The CJ is just about the only member of the 'Judge' family I would be interested in and I will likely own one, some day, if I come across a used one at a good price.  In fact, that interest is why I came across the NAA bicycle rifle on the 'Net in the first place.

Little Badger, I just looked it up. Man that simple little single has some quality hardware on it like the adjustable peep sight, picitinny rails, threaded barrel etc.

Would have to have two triggers though, or currently illegal.

Like the ones on Star Trek? Actually I would rather have the phase pistol, both have stun and vaporize settings, i'm assuming the rifle is more accurate and has a longer range though. I wouldn't use the stun setting, you know, legal issues and lawsuits from whoever you stunned. Vaporizing leaves no evidence.

Well, they do make the 'double badger' but it isn't in 'survival' or 'pack' gun trim and it is only available in .22LR/.410.  I am with you on .22Mag and 12 gauge.  The Mag barrel could also fire WRF if you needed something without quite as much punch for smaller game (or just use Winchester Dynapoint WMR with is intended to closely match the old WRF loads.)

Ah, as long as we are dreaming just go ahead and go for one in the 1.21 Gigawatt range.  The beam will go back in time and kill the assailant before he threatened you.  Or it might make Michael J. Fox disappear.  I'm not really sure which.

 

But back to 'reality', I think that the .32 (was it .32 H&R Magnum?) break top pocket revolver that NAA was going to make a few years back sounded interesting.  I guess I wouldn't be 'inventing' that as I believe NAA actually built a couple of prototypes.  Kind of the same with the 28 gauge revolver that Taurus was going to produce - although I am not sure if they got as far as making prototypes or not.

If i'm not mistaken there were legal issues with the planned 28 guage revolver since there is no handgun cartridge that could also be fired in it, it would have been considered a short shotgun.
