How would you mount a sling up front without attaching to bipod?

If you look closely at your second pic, there is a dot or ding pretty much smack in the center above the bipod. I'd mount it there. ;) Edited by TrickyNicky

Though not all the way up front, best I could think of is to attach a rail mounted sling adapter just aft of the handguard in front of your optic. I would be nervous attaching it to the gas block, but that may be an over abundance of caution on my part as the sling adapter is part of the standard front sight post.

Not many options with that setup, 'bout anything is gonna be on the funky side:

 

 

If you're not gonna use a front sight on the gas block you could use a sling adapter on that rail:

Or a 45 degree offset mount:

And add the one above or a conventional sling adapter, either standard or quick detach:

Put a single point sling adapter where the buffer tube meets the lower receiver. Love me some single point slings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
