I might be able to come today. Will bring my brand spankin new AK which needs to be fired (only have one mag and about 80 rounds) and my 1911 Kimber.

Will meet up at the park. How am I to identify all of you? Since I am new.

I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting any of you folks, either... this would be a good time for them TGO ballcaps, etc.

I'll be in a white late model Tahoe. Bald, beard. Answers to the name of "hey, you!".

I'll be in a maroon late model Tahoe, long hair, what I call a beard, and answer to about anything. Gunna be late for lunch if I make it but I am leaving for the range in about 15 min with 1.5 hr drive.

Well, that was quick while it lasted. Change of plans for me. I can't be there. Sorry all. Everybody aim down the middle one or two for me.

Well, that was interesting... between the broken gate and those guys who just went downrange to change their targets whenever they felt the need. Good seeing you folks and meeting the ones I hadn't met before.

Highlight of the day for me was getting to shoot a Garand. Yet another thing that I need to get...

it was nice meeting you guys today. hate that I had to leave so soon, but like you said, it was an adventure at least.

gotta love free public ranges with no safety officers....at least it's never dull

maybe next time we can set something up at cleveland and we won't have to worry about anyone else.

Good time had by all despite minor issues. Great to put some faces to avatars. I didn't get out until almost 1800. Looking forward to the next one.

I was on the 50 at about 1:30 - 3. I ended up driving through the gate where it was opened up. I bet the crackheads bent it open at night to get back there and get brass

:D

We were over on the 50 all day. Almond and I had lunch at Shuford's, and then got up to the range a little after 1 to find the gate open just a few feet. After about 45 minutes of milling about, we determined that the gap was big enough for smaller cars to get through, so abailey and I squeezed through and made our way down. Traumaslave made a valiant effort to hump his stuff down to the range, but we caught him after squeezing through and took mercy on him. He had a bunch of stuff!

Oh, and I managed to basically punch myself in the face while shooting Almond's Enfield. Gotta be careful about wrapping that right thumb over the top of the stock...

But hey, I got to let a couple of kids shoot my AR, and it was col to see how much they enjoyed it. :)

yea, you must've walked right past me at the gate, (I got there about 130 or so).

we were waiting on another friend, so we just hung out at the gate till he got there, squezzed through the gate and finally found us a place on the 100yard range... we were there till about 3 or 4.

was one of the TGO guys the one that shot that Rifled grenade???

Sorry I didnt get to say hi, maybe next time.

Yeah, that was Traumaslave that fired off the grenade. :D

I was in the blue Bronco II that squeezed through the gate early on. Dunno if you were up at the gate then or not...

And boy was he glad to see someone drive up!!! 2 big rifles in cases, an SKS slung over my shoulder and a bucket full of ammo and a spotting scope. Far more than I should have tried taking in. Didn't have a clue of how far it was to get back there.

edit: yeah, that was me with the rifle grenade. I was worried some old man was going to raise hell over it.

yep, I was up there, one of a few directly across from the gate.. we basicly just had a BS session until our buddy showed up.

sounds like yall had an interesting event. i was planning on going... but, the lake and some fishing was calling my name.

I had a great time and put more faces to avatars so thats a good thing. It was definitely an interesting shoot but I had tons of fun and the grenade was great, I don't think alot of people understood it was a dummy.

I was late to get there, but I did and did not get to meet with any of you save one who said he was from the forums. Got there around 4:30.

Fired my new AK and put about a 100 rounds through it. Fun!

Also had my kimber and enjoyed the pistol range. Next time will have to try and make on time.

Ahh yes,,, I forgot to mention Aviator showed up at the end of the day. Snuck out real quick, though I had my head into grouping at 100 yrds with my .17HMR . Real nice AK. He seemed to like it.:2cents:

He must have showed up right around the time Josh and I took off... shame, I would have liked to have met another airplane nut.

EDIT: Oh, and there seems to be a bit of a bruise appearing on my shoulder... not sure whether I should blame that on the Enfield or the K31. I'm pretty sure the AR's not responsible. :2cents:

TS, it was a pleasure to meet you. Wish I could have been there earlier. It was such a glorious day for flying, so took my daughter flyin. We had a great time and she flew the plane for about 45 min. She is 11 yrs old. Cant beat that.

Well, I had only about a 100 rounds on the 7.62 and that went fast. For a test on a new weapon that was good. She shot well (the AK) although I had to "blow" off the smoke from overzealous cleaning and CLP. :D

Appreciate the time and your patience talking with me.
