Benelli M4 Light Ideas

I can't really find an easy/good light solution for my M4. I was hoping for something as easy as the fore end light like the 870 Surefire light. What have you guys found or used you like on the M4? Not crazy about Surefires fore end for the M4 :-( Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I use the Surefire railed front end and attach my light from there.  There are a few options out there but not near as many as the 870 or 590.  Here is a pic of my setup:

That's a real nice setup but I don't want another rail. After shooting one of my guns without a rail all day my hand isn't as worn out as when I shoot a railed gun a bunch. I guess there isn't much call for lights or light mounts for our M4's. Nobody shoots these at night? lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

You could always buy another M4 forearm section and mount an MOE section to it and use any of the common setups.  Cheap fix, I've seen it done well on quite a few.

When the rail is installed it weighs almost 3 oz more than with the stock slick forearm.  Another option that is really nice but adds weight also is the Sidearmor rail.  On mine I have the short length because I knew I would be using a VG or something.  Here is the link, excellent quality: http://asgarddefense.com/Benelli-M4-Full-Length-Tactical-Shotgun-Rail.html

I have this same set up on my Nighthawk custom shotgun, I hate it, why? Because there is no switch that you can access, it is either off or on without taking time to adjust it,

I will be changing my setup for the surefire at some point, I think that is the only way to go as it is a momentary switch that you can access while firing the shotgun,

On my 870 setup it is a no brainer, I will be buying a Benellii M4 after I get past the forum knife expense and I will be using some sort of foregrip Edited April 20, 2014 by willis68

I use the BLAM4 mount. It's a small picatinny section that replaces the forward sling attachment ring. This is the best solution I have seen for the Benelli without replacing the forearm. For me, light on the right side and I run a pressure pad that I activate with my left thumb when I shoulder the gun. My pressure pad is attached with the heavy duty 3m tape. Hasn't come off in over a year.

I saw that one, I do like it.  Is it solid?

Very solid. It's held in place by existing parts (the snap ring) on the shotgun so there is really no possibility of movement. I have the desert camo model so hacking up the forearm wasn't an option for me. This is a nice clean solution that looks factory to me.

I just clamped one of these on and stuck a Surefire in it. I like it better than any purpose-built forend I've ever owned or used.
