22 at Hermitage Walmart

Had to go to my chiropractor this afternoon, so I stopped in at the Walmart on Andrew Jackson.

 

There was actually 22 on the shelf. CCI Stingers at just under 6/50 with tax. Meh...not too bad, not great, but I'll get a few boxes I think to myself.

 

So I find a clerk and ask to get 3 boxes, as that was the last limit I'd seen in this store. The clerk tells me I can have only 1 box. Huh?

 

Yep. One box of 50 at 6 dollars.  One box for the low price of 12 cents per round.

 

I thanked him for his time and left. He seemed rather surprised, and asked why I didn't want any.

 

I told him it wasn't worth paying that price for one box.

 

Okay, laugh at me. Tell me I'm wrong.

 

But if I'm going to pay too much for the privilege of having 22 ammo. I want to be able to buy more than one box.

 

BTW. there were about 20 in case and about that much more I could see under the counter. So go for it. I'm waiting.

I pay a bit more than that for it at Nashville Armory. At least it's going to a real gun store and I can buy 4 boxes at once. :shrug:

Those were the last I found at WM I believe and there was a three box limit so I maxxed out. Kinda wish I had done so when I lucked in on the 555s and only took the one box and left the rest for others (I hope it was genuine people who got them)

That seems about the price stingers was before all this happened.

I would have took the box but then again I like stingers.

 

Also because I haven't seen any .22 in store in about a year.

 

a box of 50 stingers is normally about the same price as a box of 100 non stingers.

Yea, I was super PO'd at that one box crap. It's not just 22 either... one box of ammo. Period. I went to buy some 270, 9, and 40 the day they started that garbage. He asked what I wanted and I said "That box of 270..." then waited til he grabbed it to tell him about the other ammo cuz' they always get confused when you tell them two things at once... the said "and two boxes of 9" and he cut me off and said "Just one box. That's all you're allowed to buy."

I told him he could hold onto it. Haven't been back.
