I've searched the forums and haven't really seen much on this shotgun. Does anyone have personal experience with one of these? I've read the early models had some issues, but I'd like feedback from any actual end users. I'm thinking about picking one up but would like to hear some TGO opinions. Many thanks! I own one and haven't had any issues with it.  Granted I haven't shot it much (~100 rnds) but it would rapid fire the Winchester LE Low recoil buck without an issue.  I know some semi-autos have issues with the low recoil stuff but the SPX does not.  I have the non-pistol grip model, it points well for me.  The only "issue" I had was with the initial break down, the extension tube was tight and was a bugger to get free.

The only issue I've had with mine is using el cheapo delux ammo.  I want to say it was made by either Winchester or Remington and they had a flimsy tin rim.  The extractor would shear through it leaving the shell lodged in the chamber.   I discovered this back in 2012 and haven't had any other problem since.

Yeah the reviews I've found have echoed similar thoughts, but they all say it's a great auto-loader. Thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had two, bad luck with both of them. Bolts binding on the shell elevator. Mossberg owners forum was packed with bad reviews. BUT, that was Appx 2 yrs ago. Could have improved by now.

This is also my experience with the exception of the issue with the tube extension. Fine shotgun in my opinion.

Hip firing caused a misfeed. Mine seemed to only cycle when seated in the shoulder, which could be a problem if you ever had to shoot in a non-conventional manner. I sold mine after discovering this.
