They even gave him a warning shot and he still entered the house, that tells me this criminal is psycho or having drug withdrawls or just so amped up on meth he didn't give a crap. Never buy a gun with the intention that you will always scare bad guy away. 1st rule of gun safety, never point the muzzle at anything(any living thing), that you don't intend to shoot. I've taught my sister and nefew and neice and always told them if you point a gun at another person, you had better be ready to shoot and kill them. If it happens to turn out that they ran away and you didn't have to shoot, or they didn't die if you did shoot then that's good but always be prepared and intend to shoot and kill bad guy, bluffing and leg shots will get you killed.

I moved to East TN from Central FL, Winter Haven is a 'burb of Orlando and is considered a "nice" area...Highlights the fact the BGs will travel to the high rent district because there is more cool stuff to get as opposed to the risking life and limb in the 'hood to jack a car stereo.

He broke into the home of the Pena family and got Pena-lized.

Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Instead of saying "the intruder was dead when the law enforcement arrived" it would've been funny if they said "the intruder had permanently retired from crime when the law enforcement arrived".

I'm glad the Pena's are okay, it's a textbook story of protecting your family with a gun.  The part about three of them being armed was funny.  The family that shoots together, stays together.

I wouldn't be copperating with the news at all though.  In fact, I'd be pissed if it was my address spelled out for all the world in that article with the news van parked outside my house broadcasting.  No need to bring attention on yourself after the fact.  Who knows who else is reading/watching.

I'm tempted to change my last name just to use this pun.
