BATF Opinion on Firing AR15 Pistol from Shoulder or using Stability Brace as stock.

Glad of ATF response but a few things stand out to me about the letter.

One its from Colorado we all know is a war zone on the second amendment at this current time and its from a Sgt at the lpd. Police state? Just my opinion is possibly the lpd is looking for ways to harass people about their firearms.

The guy from the police state was evidently challenging the ATF letter. That's actually more concrete poured around

the feet of the ATF if they did decide to change their mind. It does, however, point out the irony of having to pay 200

bucks and have to wait for a stamp for a short barreled rifle, now. What's a sergeant playing politics with this? It must

really be bad out there if the police chief won't.

That's a good 'en.

OR...

And I'm just throwing this out there because we all know that every cop in the world is a jack-booted thug who beats citizens with a rubber hose and eats babies, but in a hypothetical world where cops were people too, the Sgt. in question maybe wanted to know for his own personal sake for his own personal firearms collection which may or may not include an AR15 pistol.

That's a possibility, too. I guess that could depend
on the letterhead used in the original letter we
haven't seen.

Lord forbid the guy used department letterhead, if he did.

I think maybe the problem here is that you and I don't jump to the same conclusions when we read things like this.  I don't automatically assume the officer was up to something, looking for a way to step on my rights.
