I'm not sure. I suspect that there are a couple of long wires that go from the pacemaker to the heart mean you're limited in how much you can realistically do. Other than wrap yourself in tinfoil.

i know a guy that basically built one in his attached garage. his BOV remains stored in it and inside the BOV are his BOBs containing many of the things listed above.

it's interesting to note that his cell phones, car radio, ham radio, FRS etc simply do not work inside the cage.

basic mesh construction.

I don't know him well enough to get into the details of his construction or cost, but seemed like a clever idea for someone that is concerned about it. who knows if it would be effective or not.

Likely effective enough. Could be quite affordable if you can find the mesh for cheap. I'm not sure what the minimum wire thickness/hole spacing is for EMP. For regular radio waves, anything with a longer wavelength than the size of the holes should not get through. EMP is a pulse though.
