SIG "To hell and back" reliability. Yeah, right.

Is the hammer pin properly seated?  Take the grips off.  The grips hold the hammer pin in place.  The pin should be flush with both sides of the frame.  Some aftermarket grips don't keep the pin from wandering out one side or the other. If that happens, the pin becomes canted and the gun won't fire.  Or , if the factory grips are cracked, that happens as well.  That's what happened on my first Sig Sauer.

CZs don't have that problem.  Neither do 1911s, Berettas, Rugers, S&W, or even HiPoints.  Most guns have some kind of weird flaw.  For Sig Sauer to have left that one in place for over 30 years seems a bit absurd.

Good move. I got to go back and see Sam about some sights on the RIA 9, I'll try to swing by and see if you are in when I do.

Got the Swiss Miss back today... and she's back to being the fire breather she was. I didn't talk with Sam, so I'm not sure what he did... but it's great!

Larry, I'll be in Thu and Fri 5-9, and Sat all day. Just fyi.

Thanks, buddy. Looks like I won't make it to see you this week. Friday night is spoken for by Mrs. Hipower, and I think I'm headed to Cookeville on Saturday.

Glad you got that old worn out Sig running again though.

When I get the chance, I'll stop in with my new range/house/carry toy. A little number by FN Herstal/Browning, A BDA 9mm Compact. It's cute.

PS Brother-in-law has me looking at another Sig. Some old 9mm again.

I think it's called the SigP210. (DAYEMMM it is sweet.)

Y'all met my buddy, Mr. hiDOLLAR? lol

More like lowbucks.  I said I was looking, not buying.

Would be nice though. The feel and the fit on it sure put the Smith 952 to shame.

Bring it by sometime. I've never seen one.

Had a customer/friend bring in his 1942 Luger. He let me shoot it. One off the bucket list. It was terrific.

Will do that. I got the 952 from my brother-in-law last year. He wanted to trade it in on something, I don't remember what now; but he wasn't satisfied with the offer given him for trade.

So I told him what I thought the lgs he was dealing with would offer as top dollar. He called me back later and told me I had gotten it exactly right, and he would sell it to me to keep it in the family before letting someone else make a big profit on it.

So I did end up with it a month or so later, with the proviso that I'd sell it back to him if I decided to let it go.
