I am aware of no firearm period available to civilians chambered in that cartridge.

Might be possible to have a Contender custom chambered for it but even thats a stretch. Edited by nightrunner

Isn't that the funky cartridge made for the HK MP7? Why would one want such a proprietary cartridge? 5.7x28 is already bad enough...

Yep, and the ONLY firearm chambered for that round as far as I know. HK had a pistol in development but scrapped the idea.

I always wondered why midway and a few other places sold ammo but civilians cant buy guns that shoot it.

As a collector as well as a shooter, I like strange calibers.  Thought this caliber in a pistol would be kinda neat.

Well that IS about as strange as it gets but then, who knows, maybe here in 20 years that stuff will be worth its weight in Platinum.

Great!  Another REALLY expensive cartridge and weapon that is ballisticaly similar to the .22WMR.  And it always amazes me how HK manages to produce weapons using the cheapest manufacturing processes available and charge astronomical prices for them.  If it costs HK more than $200 to produce each MP7, I'd be amazed.

Because you load the ammo in the magazine backwards.

???

What does this have to do with knockdown power.

Edit to add, I am a bit slow, cool factor, right?

You asked why? My answer is, " Its HK, it doesnt matter"

That was a reference to when a HK rep did a photoshoot and had a loaded magazine in the foreground and had the ammo facing in the wrong direction.

I personally want one for the cool factor and because I am intrigued by the round, along with the 5.7

I have a thing about wanting at least one gun that shoots all somewhat available calibers, therefore i want this as it is the only commercially available firearm chambered in the caliber. If they make a normal pistol, USP-sized, i would have no use for this.

Its not a practical weapon in any sense unless you were to get teleported into a CallOfDuty game.
