Finish(es)

Okay, I've seen metal pistols with customed appearances (slide, grips, etc.), customized rimfires, etc. My question is this, has anyone ever thought about or actually customized (or had customized) a polymer pistol (other than grip texturing)? Thoughts?

I think Tungsten was toying with the idea and there is a thread around here where that was discussed. I think Pink was the color of choice in that thread:eek:. IIRC, adhesion is the biggest problem on polymer.

Adhesion and wear, yes, of import.

Pink? Very much not of import and not a consideration. LOL

You have to use an air-cure finish to polymer pistols since they won't withstand the usual thermal curing process. They look nice when they are "new" but after a few months they start to flake and look like hell.
