I didn't even need this, but for $400 after rebate, I figured what the heck.

I didn't even look up reviews, but I don't hear a lot of bad things about Para 1911's.  And for the price I am not too worried about.

The last price at Buds shows $543.

Hozzie, who do you use for FFL's? I looked down my way but don't see anyone that is set up with them.

The Saddle Shop in Triune.  I use them for all of my transfers.

Thats not all that bad. I do like their double stack 1911, but after being normal 1911, holding the double stack it feels strange.

Hope you get your rebate faster than I have gotten my Eotech rebate.

I like mine.  Paid $450 used about a year and half ago and felt like I got a good deal at the time (only about 200 rounds thru it pre-purchase, Hogue grips and no idiot mark until I got a hold of it).  The rebate really has me tempted on a 14.45 in SS.

Don't post this,  You are temping me bad.

My next is probably going to be a 9mm.  I have already started buying ammo for it.

I used to think that I wanted a double stacked Para.  Went to a LGS to try one out and the sales man put one in my hand, then put a 1911 in my hand.  Never wanted a double stack again.

Killer deal here!

Just called them and ordered two. They had one stainless left for $50 more.

I wish I had known this.  I would have got a stainless as well.  oh well, already got my shipping notification and it will be here Thursday.  I like blue too, so not a big deal.

I have a 9mm STI Trojan that I really like.  I would recommend them highly.

I bet after a while we could get used to it.

Sale is back on. Curious if the Remington 1911($476 after $75 rebate) is a solid choice over the Para.

The fit of the slide to the frame and the barrel to the slide is really good on the Para.  I bought a new stainless Expert after Christmas, took it completely apart and did a triggerjob, ramp job, and fitted the barrel lugs and it has shot very accurately and runs 100%.  I was planning on using it to build on, but with a little fitting its better than a lot of 1911's out there.
