Normally this morning I would have a few choice words for troutberger, and the others who like to bang on us "Damn Yankees" for going where we please in our free country.   But today I thought I might remind everyone of how that damn Russian dictator is moving to expand Russian lands into previously western countries.  I was just reading about all the anti-American propaganda he has put out there in this decade.  Its something like 57% of Russians have a negative view of the US, compared to 7% in the 90's.   Its what dictators to do move their people.

So this morning I would like to apologize...  to Troutberger, Sigmtnman, and any other Southerner I've rattled on in this forum (usually in defense of a fellow Northerner).  We know it's in a Rebel's heart to rebel, so you guys just carry on.  But to all my fellow Northerners:   don't fire back at these guys.   We gotta pull together in this forum.  We're all Americans and thats my standpoint from here on in.

No offense but the Civil War is over. And since then the American people have fought many other war's as one Nation. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam...the list goes on.

The pity is that so many American's had to die for their political beliefs at home way back then. However, we are united as a Nation and will continue to do so to

protect our shores.

Our biggest challenge is not the Russians but the modern American politician who is representing themselves and not the people of the USA.

Thank you guys.  You all seem to be patriotic Americans, so you're ok in my book.  Yea Obama is to blame for Putin's newly found dictotor-like qualities of taking over neighboring lands.   Signman and Trout, I'll buy the beers.  Well I got a little crazy with the corn whiskey on St. Pattys, so I'm taking a year off drinking.   I'll keep you all updated on how thats going.   Nice day outside, what am I doing inside.   Wife's talking on the phone so I can probably escape to an outdoors environment unnoticed if I go now.

Bu bu but, if the situation in Russia is Obama's fault and The Yankees voted for Obama, then conventional Boolean conditional logic would conclude: What's going on in Russia is The Yankees fault!

I think I have always thought that we are all Americans and Patriots first and that the Yankee / Southerner deal was always just in jest and poking for just fun and nothing more. I have never taken offense by being called a Yankee or a Hill Billy which I am a half breed cause my daddy was a Yankee and my mother was a Southerner so I guess I fit in about anywhere........   I fought in Vietnam and in all honesty I probably served with all kinds of folks but in the end they were all American Patriots first and everything else came second. You always knew that you could count of them when it came down to it and you didn't ask them if they were Yankees or Southerners. They were Americans and that was what counted............jmho

I like Yankees!  They are the only people who talk funnier than us Southerners. I work with a fellow from Boston. He once told me he had a Golf Cat. I thought he had a cat that was trained to find golf balls. I married a woman from New York City, we have been happily married for 21 years. As far as the Russians, I liked them better when they were the USSR. At least then we didn't have to pretend that we liked each other.

Well that's only partly true. Florida and VA popular votes were for O'bama, Neither is truly a southern state any longer.

I'm mostly just bustin his chops. Although if you look at the 2012 election map by county, you see the classic case of populous liberal cities determining elections for the other 90% of the state. Below are the county maps for FL and VA (the 2 southern states that "voted" blue.) The Only reason these states are blue is because of the electoral college make up. Neither state (as far as I know) distributes electoral votes based on regional demographics, but, rather, distribute them in "all or nothing" fashion.

I have friends in most of the states. Got nothing to do with Yankees and Rebels. It's about liberalism, and what happens when a bunch of those psychotic assholes show up in the same place. It's not just something that I despise, it's something that's downright scary. We have had a few new folks show up this weekend from deep in communist America.

Now, it's not unusual for the folks on this forum to give the new guy a few pokes to see what he's made of. From what I have seen, we wound up with 3 keepers, and one that got all butt hurt and picked up his toys.

If somebody shows up sporting an Obama bumper sticker, somebody is gonna piss on their windshield... doesn't matter where they're from. For example, I'm a huge supporter of the folks in CT that refuse to register their AR's. In fact, I look up to them.

Being a bunch of folks that play with guns, with lots of Feinstein's favorites mixed in, some folks may play a little rough. If it's too much to handle, there's always ARFCOM... the kinder, gentler gun forum :)

What's that phrase..."weed out the chaff from the grainf"

Yeah. The butt hurt guy from this weekend is one of many that didn't survive his first TGO thread. I've seen a bunch of them go with a ban hammer print on their forehead :)

You know you're in the north when you are served sugar packets next to your iced tea. What the hell is that? Yankees are to damn lazy to mix the sugar in WITH the tea when it's hot and then pour it over ice. Damn Yankees...
