Bow fishing around Nashville?

Centennial Park Lake has a bunch of carp doesn't it?(JK)  Do you have boat access or are you wanting to shoot from the bank?  Tons of good places on Old Hickory if you have boat access, just get as far back in the coves as you can.  If you are shooting from the bank, I haven't been in years but Cordell Hull was my favorite place, Defeated Creek specifically.  The entrance to the park area off of the highway was good.  If you can sneak into the camp ground you can walk the bank around the entire campground, that lake is full of carp.

Might be a little difficult at Centennial Park Mud Pit right now. The lake is being drained for cleaning.

 

And our Mayor will probably filter the sludge for loose change to help pay for more of his pet projects.

I go at least once a week (at night) on old hickory starting in a few weeks. Seems more activity when the water temp is at least 70 and the warmer the better where I shoot. I've got a small boat set up for shooting and a few bows available. Pm me and will swap numbers.

Wow...will do thanks. I'm not clear on where it is actually legal as well. Probably frowned upon at Shelby Park :)

Personally I would be hesitant to walk around Shelby Park with bow in hand, yet I know of no statute that would prohibit you from doing so.  I could see a possible case of public endangerment though.  Wrong person and/or cop at the wrong time could make you have a bad day.
