i get chills thinking about how we earned that nickname.

Throughout all my travels in my short stint in the Army, if there was anything you showed pride over, it was for your state.

And the heritage of TN is great, yet only seemingly rivaled by gang crime in my hometown of Memphis which i have discovered to be worse in the years i have been away.

so here i am. trying to learn again the art of the pistol again.

i have a family i don't want harmed, i have property that i want to keep. i have no superstitions and i believe we are responsible for the things we say and do.

i don't know if i'll post much, but i'd like to add my name in the hat for support of TN firearm's rights and hope to see sites like this flourish.

Welcome fellow Memphian! You are absolutely correct with your statement above, and the sad thing is it keeps getting worse. It is no longer confined to certain areas but is becoming widespread throughout the city and the county.

Having grown up in Memphis (14yrs.) I know what you mean. Unfortunately, there seems to be some truth to the "armpit of the south" nickname. That being said, the rest of Tennessee more than makes up for that corner of our wonderful state. Welcome!
