Yesterday I called got called into work on my only requested day off, my birthday. After leaving work, I decided to award myself with a new toy. I was torn between a .308 saiga, Umarex R350 1911 or getting an AR 15 upper and finishing one of my builds. While funds tried to convince me to pick up two of the three items, I decided to hold off. Needless to say, I now have a AR 15 upper and bolt carrier group on the way. Ill show pics of the new build as soon as its done. And I convinced my boss to buy me martini's at the company night out. So it was a day filled with mostly win!

Belated happy birthday. Reading the first line I thought you were going to ask for suggestions, I would have said 1911, but then I always say 1911. Congratulations, I am guessing your going to wait to complete the build before stating which upper?

I went with a 16" psa upper with a tac rail and a nickel boron carrier group. I am debating about taking a break from work and going to pick up that 1911, its a regent R350. I already have two regent D100's, but they do need a buddy. And the saiga got sold by the time I got off work  :-\

This will be my third AR 15, and the second one I have build myself. If they still have this upper I was looking at, I might pick it up as well. Its just that I have had zero chances to go shooting lately. I still have yet to fire a FAL and a glock that I picked up a while ago.

I may end up regretting this, but I went ahead with another upper and a PSA moe lower parts kit for it. And I am also going to be picking up a 1911 in a few days. $1600 in a week. This is the most I ever spent on a birthday present(s). I'll have photos of all the new toys along with the old gang as soon as I get everything in a put together.

I had a R350 and loved it... minus it not wanting to take my loaded archangel mags... did fine with the mags unloaded...but when loaded i had to press the release button for it to go in... i do miss it though

I want to get two so bad. That way they can keep my D100's company. But now I have a remington R1 so I have to find it a buddy. Cant leave my 1911s by themselves without a twin.
