The reports from the hunters at work were zero deer, a ton of coyote, and one seriously huge opossum. One fellow got a shot off at one of the bigger yotes but missed (possibly caught a branch he said).

All I saw was some turkeys, and I shot but about the time the arrow reached him, it curved left. I think the mech. broadhead partially opened on one side and caused it to curve left.......... but that's hunting.

I had a great Sunday afternoon. 2 bucks showed up at about 4:45, a spike and a young 8pt. The 8pt will make a fine trophy in a couple of years. Then at 5:30, with the spike and 8pt. still hanging around, 4 more bucks showed up for the party. A 4pt., a 6pt, another young 8pt and the leader, a nice mature 8pt with a wide main beam causing his antlers to stick out about 4 inches on either side of his ears.

I estimated the range at about 30 yards, finally got a good view of the mature 8pt, held the pin on the kill zone, got a great release and make the shot. It was a great shot but, it was 5 yards short! Oh well, its been a long time since I have seen that many bucks together, in front of my stand with at least 2 shooter bucks in the group. The others need to stay healthy and grow up a little.

It is amazing what a food plot can attract!

LOL where is the other antler?

That is the question? He looks like he is asking us in the pic doesn't he? "Hey, you guys seen my right antler? It was on the branch when I went to bed this morning, now I can't find it"

I suspect he is a bully and got his clock cleaned already. See below. This is him trying to push a little prong horn yearling buck around.

Left for Wayne Co from work Wed evening. Hunted every morning and afternoon and all I kept seeing was the little fork horn buck shown above fighting with ole Half Head. Was really hoping for some does to start the meat locker stockage. Well this little tard deer came in on me late Friday afternoon and would not leave! I even watched him get his picture taken on the camera! I did not want him to see me come down out of the tree so I threw a spit bottle at him! Still didn't run. He finally moseyed over to said bottle and got in close and finally sniffed "human". He sprinted about 15 yards and then stood there again! I finally resorted to barking like a dog and he ran off. I walked by the camera on my way out to show the timing of the little bastard and how dark he let it get on me. I vowed that if he showed up this morning I would just go ahead and stick him...you guessed it, not a damn thing. Deer....damn I hate deer sometimes.
