Going rate for 7.62 x 39?

What is the usual going rate for a 1,000 round case of cheap steel 7.62 x 39 ammo?

A bunch of the online stores are advertising some Wolf white-box "special deal" ammo that was supposedly bought as part of a big blow-out. Is it actually a good deal? I don't yet have an AKM, but it's on my list of things to get. If this is some decent ammo at a legitimately good price, I may go ahead & get a case while it's available.

I don't know what prices typically run, though, so I'm not sure if it's actually that much cheaper than normal (Russian ammo fear-buying & invasions asside).

You guys must have missed the $208/case plus $5 S/H deal from Sportsman's Guide last week.

The only way it's going to get up to .30/round is if all the boneheads keep panic buying.

The Wolf "white box" is just Tulammo repackaged. Wolf and Tula have since split, and Wolf doesn't source ammo from Tulammo anymore.

$219.99 per k here, with a free AK magazine.

That's the one I'd been looking at, though Garufa's link shows that AIM just dropped their price to match (though without the free mag). Shipping for either to Nashville is $24, so it comes out to $244 total.

$10 or $20 off a case, I'll wait till later.

$50+ off a case, I'll probably jump on.

I got some a week or so ago from SGAmmo (that Wolf/Tula white box) for $234 delivered. That seems to be about as good as it gets.

not too worried about 2 cents a round when price hunting, but I do know there is a fat ass case of x39 coming to my door tomorrow.

$240-$250 delivered. Catch a nice deal at Sportsmans Guide or AIM and maybe find it for $210-$220 delivered?

Pretty much any of the Wolf or Tula is fine. Red army is also good to go. I can't tell a difference because I'm not that good of a shot, but I hear the Golden Tiger FMJ boat tail stuff is pretty accurate.
