I was on gun broker last night and saw one for sale, cool package, .357 / .40 / 9mm barrels

Knowing little to nothing about Sig and knowing there are some Sig fans here, what say you?

As a side note, same seller has a CZ Kadet kit for sale - I contacted him for more info and discovered it will not cycle properly on my 75B due to the omega trigger system, so if anyone is looking...

P229 is my favorite carry weapon.  Very versatile with all three barrels.  When my life is on the line I want a Sig on my hip.

I love my P229 in 9mm. It's been my EDC since I got it. The 9mm will need different magazines but the .40 and .357 can share mags. If the price is decent you should give it a go. Even if you hate it they aren't hard to get rid of.

I love all 3 of my p229s. (.40, 9mm, .22LR) I've found very little they won't do, only thing is that to carry them they essentially demand a quality belt and holster. When I carry mine currently I'm either wearing a beltman.net horsehide belt with a sturdy OWB holster or a hank's CCW belt with my Crossbreed supertuck. If you do not properly support them they will quickly feel heavier than they are.

The 229 is like having a younger pamela anderson or carmen elektra in your pocket ready to go! Love mine,if u can get in to one for under 800 youre doing great, im not a barrell swapper, mines in 40 sw and i just love it, more than my HK's, its beefy but its all quality. no issues. holds value well, everyone that feels one and sees one wants one, like pamela and carmen( 15 years ago)

The previous Sig 228's are nice also. The slides are folded carbon steel on the 228's instead if the machined stainless of the 229s. The balance is a bit different between the two.

Well, even though it appears to be a good buy, I was told we have not allocated adequate funds to the discretionary spending budget.

I explained it's a $600+ gun, plus the added value of about $400 for the extra barrels, $100 for sights, $100 for grips.

Note to you newly-weds, when your wife says, "do whatever the eff you want," she really doesn't mean it.
