Rick Perry talking about Magpul

Anyone else hear Rick Perry talking about business in Texas tonight at CPAC? Rick Perry was discussing opportunities for Business relocating to Texas with Cam on NRA News. He mentioned that Magpul had relocated business operations there (Or was going to) and that "We are talking with them on the Manufacturing side".

 

Cheyenne Wyoming isn't that far from Denver, I used to play Golf in Cheyenne and I lived in Colorado Springs. Moving to Cheyenne from Eerie probably wouldn't even force most of Magpuls employees to move. 

 

So if the Governor of Wyoming has set a deal with Magpul, and they are already preparing to move into that new facility, I wonder if Rick Perry let the cat out of the bag? Why would Magpul even be discussing moving manufacturing with Perry's people?

 

I would hate to be the manager going into work Monday. We had a small call center, about 30 people, we were consolidating a whole bunch of small local call centers into a regional call center and everyone could either move or lose their jobs. Before the GM could talk to them, word got out, they started coming to me, I was on the tech side and that wasn't my part of the business. Upper management couldnt/wouldnt talk until final decisions were made on separation packages and whatnot (Some of those people had been there 30 years), talk about some upset employees. Took two months before these employees were finally notified, I sat in the Call Center managers office, she was one of those who had been there 30 years and she actually was crying. 

 

Will be interesting to see where this goes, then again, Magpul may already be preparing their employees.

They may be expanding and building a 2nd plant. Would be nice if there was another panic to have 2 plants pumpin out mags.

Good point. And Texas can give them what they need to grow.
