7.62x39 and other Russian Ammo Threatened

Recommended Posts

Couldn't sleep well last night, reading a lot of other gun sights.  Much internet noise about a run on 7.62x39 and other Russian ammo due to the conflict that is unfolding.  Some believe O is going to ban all imports.  I am sure it reads like a whole lot of hype, and I am not one to stir up trouble ;) , and I don't shoot 7.62x39, but I know there is a lot of folks that do.  Be your own judge, and either become a hoarder, or let it pass you by, or bunk it for whats it worth!

Too many other sources for 7.62 and 5.45 surplus and new manufacture from other countries in the region to be much of an issue if Russian imports get blocked.

... and this is how the shortages, price hikes, and conspiracy theories regarding shortages, price hikes, and conspiracy theories get started. Reposting non-sense and then not wanting to be the "alarmist". :surrender:

PLEASE stop this non-sense.

The only thing I have with that parent case uses brass made in Finland. They don't piss off anybody

No they don't. They just get taken over by the people that do. ;)

They need to hire Obama when his contract is up.

Well, we already know he likes the ladies from that region. :)

There is going to be a "Shortage"...now. Dumbasses.

I'm going to hit a few flea markets this weekend. 10 to 1 it will be there and overpriced.

I still think people will lose their minds and start paying jacked up prices for x39 ammo. Sad.....

I honestly didn't want to stir the pot, but I had not seen anyone talking about this here.  I know if any of you can get to Walmart or other preferred places, and get some 7.62, now is the time.  I know by me posting this thread is feeding the machine, but hey we all should have learned something over the past 15 months, if not from the election of 2008.

I understand you may not be trying to fan the flames but that is exactly what posts like this do.  Some ignorant fools will read this hunting for ammo and think they'll never be able to get it again.  Therefore they buy it all up.  Retailers face a run on stock, wholesalers cant' keep up then start raising prices, etc., etc.  Not to mention just plain greed that gets factored into it all.

Has the .22 famine not been enough of a lesson of how this all works?  Haven't we been through this enough?

Russia is NOT going to cut off the shipments of anything to this country.  If there is a shortage it will come from trade sanctions and import restrictions imposed by the US guvment and primarily hysterical gun owners.

He's on crack.  It's just Chinese that is not available anymore. Nothing special.

That makes it "rare".

Do a Gunbot search on 7.62x39.
Still PLENTY out there at reasonable prices.

Have been watching this scenario play out over the last few days and it is ridiculous.

Oh man I was just thinking about getting some AK mags. Guess its to late for them as well? Pricing is bound to have doubled while I was typing.
