If you come across a bunch of Otters..especially while swimming...RUN!!

Haven't ever given Otters much thought. See em at the Zoo, on a river or something..cute. Turns out Otters are apex Predators in many of the ecosystems they habituate. Guy in Florida photographed an Otter take a pretty darn big Gator. The video that accompanied the article isnt the video of the Otter taken the Gator, he only had a few pictures. But, this video is Otters not being cute, being predators.

Sea otters apparently do pretty evil stuff. They are known to violently rape females in their species to the point that it sometimes results in death.

Hmm, the otters in that video are Giant Amazon Otters, Huge ones, not the small ones you see in a zoo and the Caimans aren't that big, but when you get pounced on by a bunch of otters with huge k9s, I'm sure the results would have been the same.. He should have moved the hell out.

I tell you what, if I heard the sound of all those otters making that noise I would run. That sounds like a bunch of creepy kids chanting something evil.

Yep, the video was attached to the story and photo's from the guy who took the shots of ONE Otter taking a 4 or 5 foot gator down in the Everglades. Got curious and was reading up on them, apparently they are all (All species within the genus) are predators. I knew Beavers had a reputation also, didnt know a Beaver could actually kill a man.
