Anybody loading and shooting Falcon 38 cal. Bullets?

I got some 158 gr.SWC bullets and can't get a good group with them out of my Rossi M92 rifle.Im using 3.5 grains of Bullseye in 38 cases.i have some Remington SWC's in 158 grain and they group tight.I have tried different powders too,but the Falcons still won't group.They do group good in my Ruger Blackhawk .I've had people to tell you can push the Falcon bullets to 357 velocity.Should I load some with a jacketed load and try that? You CAN push the Falcons.  Push them to 357 load.

the last box I had had bad bases on them looked like they were taken out of the mould too fast

Do you think if I put a load in them for a jacketed bullet they might seal off in the barrel and get better accuracy?

As David said, look close at the bottom of the bullet.

It has to be square to the sides.

Work up you load, start lite and work to hot, see if you find the sweet spot.

Ok, I'll do that.It's weird how they shoot good out of my Blackhawk .

Not really, diff twist rate, barrel length, and chamber size all have an effect on things.

I bought some 158 grain RNFP from Missouri bullet that shoots the same as these.

I've got some Badman bullets in .358 that shoot low in my Rossi lever gun.  I had to stuff 'em in a .357 case to get good accuracy.  Like RED says, there's a lot of factors involved.

Up till now these and the Missouri bullets is the only thing that didn't shoot good.I have about 3 other different brands that shot really good in the rifle. Edited March 5, 2014 by jeff43

I loaded some up today with 4.2 and 4.5 grains of Bullseye ,and that did the trick!I'm getting really good group now,about the size of a silver dollar at 25 yards,compared to the 8" and bigger groups that I was getting.So I guess they needed a little more powder.So I learned something today.
