OK, so I finally got my plinking rifle, bought a scope and new stock for it, and I love it. Now to finish it off, I need a good magazine for it. I want something that will hold at least 25 rounds. Has anybody had any good experience with anything? any ideas of what to stay away from?

well, I got a butler creek stick mag for my wife's rifle. the only problem is that if you fire from the prone, or supported position, the magazine gets in the way..so I would say if you want a hi cap mag, find a drum mag or stick to the 10 rounders.

I'm looking myself...

I have one Butler Creek, & one Eagle International. Have had no problem with either. The Butler Creek I have had about 10yrs. Now pretty much all I use are the factory 10rd, except for looks. +1 on what Tower said. He usually give good advice.

hey Joe, do you have one that can be used when you're on a shooting bench..and NOT using a bipod?

it seems to me that those long banana mags tend to get in the way.

the reason I ask is that my wife Julie has a 10/22 with a hammer forged barrel and a competition stock..I don't have a swivel mount on it or I would have already put a bi pod on it...and I don't have my workshop here to install one. can you pm me with a price quote for a Harris bipod (folding) and a side mounted sling? she's got a drag bag for it..but I want her to be able to sling it if she wishes to.

its a falgen synthetic stock (I think that's how to spell it.)

it's worth the trip to get it done at your place. :biglol: and I can do it on a weekend or get her to bring it out there to you guys on a weekend, while we're here in Nashville.

Tactical Innovations T125 mags are currently the best I've ever used. Their a bit pricey, but they are totally reliable. I've never had any problems out of the 2 I have and hae put around 1000 rounds through each one so far. The other side of the sotry is, they suck for shooting prone or off a rest, I have to stay with the 10 rounders for that.

I've had good luck with butler creek. I have 2 that are worn out right now, but it took literally tens of thousands of round to do it.
