If you are talking about me thanks, if you are talking about the other guy, that's the type of namby pamby attitude I am looking to move away from.

I should probably stick to the whiskey thread at this point, after the double of 1792 I were disoriented and thought I was in your thread..   I like your style, Sir.

6.8 talks plenty slow. He's 100% redneck :)

Yeah, he types slow too.  :D

Seriously? What the hell kind of welcome was this?

What is in the water here lately?

Stop being so sensitive.  Where are you from, Cali or something?

Uncle Paul is from Long Island. I'm guessing rude doesn't scare him a bit :)

I can be as nice or nasty as the next guy. I prefer nice, with a sense of humor. I despise people who play the victim.

We talk slow, so you damn yankees can understand!

Its true, I may have just the slightest amount of Ca sand left in my man-gina, and I have been told by a member here that his first thought upon seeing me was "here's a dainty little flower" but all that aside the guy made it abundantly clear he wasn't looking to start anything and just wanted to talk fishing and hunting. Aside from having thin skin his only mistake was not being ashamed of where he was from or keeping it a secret.

It was a shitty welcome.

Well. I reckon you're entitled to opine.  I thought I was being warm and fuzzy...

Well I guess I'll make this my last post and leave your forum. I expected some good natured ribbing about being a Damn Yankee but I didn't expect to open such a can of worms. Thanks to a few  guys for giving me some good info on your great state.  I hope we can keep in touch through e-mail. I didn't realize the wounds from so long ago that nun of us had anything to do with ran so deep, and I never meant to rub salt in those. That being said I'm to old to change my Yankee ways and never asked anyone to change there's. I joined this forum to get info from other gun owners and find info on your great state, but that didn't turn out so well, so much for southern hospitality.  Oh and if your broken down on the side of the road and see a Chevy pickup with NY plates pull up behind you don't worry It's probably just me seeing if you need a hand. Just my Yankee ways. Kevin

Hey all are welcome

There is ribbing. The thing is that sadly too many Yankees are liberal. There are some pretty good yanks. The main difference is damned Yankees come south and try to change it. As long as you are not and don't vote for socialist like Obama you are ok in my book.

Also, as I learned in college, southern boys like to "fun with ya". it is all in fun. Wait till someone down here tries to take you snipe hunting.

Wow. An entire state that hates yankees as much or more than I do. Dammit this move can't happen fast enough.

OUP, can you please post in another thread so that you will have at least one post. It will compliment your benefactor tag so well.

I want to come in slow. Don't want to be the guy that starts off trying to change things.

I'm sure everyone here has seen enough of that. The last NY guy got all butt hurt and started stuff that could make us northern guys look stupid.

Kinda like we see in LIFe.

If we really want to leave behind what we are leaving, we need to take the lead from the people we want to become a part of.

I think this happens more in NY and most liberal places than it does in Dixie.

Its not Yankees most of us have a problem with its the ones who try to change things. There is something even worse down here. They are called scallywags. People like Mark Pryor ( D-AR) and Mary Landrieu ( D-LA) are prime examples. I would send them north for some patriotic Yankees any day.
