My new FAL

Scored this killer Imbel FAL with British L1A1 parts kit. According to the guy I got it from it has only had about 130rds through it since the original owner bought it new in 1993.

I really need to get on the ball and pick one of those up. One day.

Out of curiosity, why are the FALs so expensive? Lord knows enough have been made, you'd think they would be about what an entry level AR would cost...

Fal is a little more difficult to manufacture.  There is only one real domestic maker - DSA.  Import of kits was stomped on.

I'm fond of mine - I need to go ahead and put it on the market but I've had it so long - the first long gun I ever bought.

I like my mutt. It is an L1A1 kit on a Imbel receiver with some Israeli and US parts.

It is a fun shooter. I hope yours is as good for you .
