Bought a Glock today

Recommended Posts

I had never heard of these Glocks until today. I bought one and thought you guys that had never seen or heard of them before might want to at least see a pic of one.

I now own a Gen 4 Glock 19, my 1st Glock. I'm not a Glock hater. I've shot a lot of them but never really liked them enough to buy one. A guy let me shoot his gen 4 a week or so ago and I liked it. I had sold one of my carry guns so I figured it was a good time to try one. Went out today and compared the gen 3 & 4, brought the 4 home with me. Off to the range tomorrow. It's not gonna blow up when I pull the trigger or anything is it?????

You. Must first watch this Safety PSA before you can take your glock and shoot it for the first time: http://youtu.be/am-Qdx6vky0 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I had to watch that video and sign a paper stating that I wouldn't point it at my butt before they would let me buy it. The guy said that was SOP when buying a Glock.

I got the same gun a few weeks back...went the next day and ran 220 rounds through it perfectly.  I also added an extended slide release.  Very nice gun (I still prefer revolvers :)).  B

Very nice your going to want to get some night sights after tomorrows range trip because its going to be you new favorite carry gun. Congrats on a fun pistol purchase.

Well...it's about time you bought one.

The rest of the civilized world already have at least 2 each.

You're saying I'm uncivilized? ;)

No. You are a fallen brother of the Glock Brotherhood.

I figure you'll have another one sooner or later. You've been thru about all the available pistols and should be about ready for the second trip around.

But you still won't catch up with me. :pleased:

I do have one left; my first 19. I'll always keep it.

Ok, so you're only uncivilized...not barbaric and misguided.

Got to get out and shoot the Glock today. It didn't blow up and I didn't shoot myself in the ass. I kinda like the ugly thing. Only had time for 100 rounds but it ran like a champ. Trigger was pretty good out of the box and I was surprised at how much I liked the sights. I put an extended slide stop on it and like it much better than the stock one. Gonna try to get to the range again in a couple days.

I liked the factory sights but figured if I was going to carry it I should put some night sights on it. I've been wanting to try a set of TFO's so I had a yellow/green set installed today.

Great buy. The TFOs are my favorite night sights. I have had both but personally prefer green/green. The yellow is kinda harder for my eyes to pick up. YMMV

The yellow definitely isn't as bright as the green but that's why I got that combo. I could pick up the front sight quicker than I could with the green/green set. Edited by jimmydeuce
