This Derek guy might hold the hosting/forums hostage... but did Oleg originally purchase the domain name? If so... provide proof of purchase / payment history and have the company (GoDaddy or whoever was used) freeze the domain pending investigation. Heck, they may even be able to potentially return it to Oleg.

Sure, Derek, will be able to simply go out and purchase a new domain and redirect the forums there... but he won't be able to keep the current website address. Will force his hand to move the site, and help distance the real forums from what it has become under his control.

Not really a solution, but a possible tactic to regain some ground and save face.

Now... if Zeanah registered it, everyone's back to twiddling their thumbs.

Guys, as a webmaster / forum admin I can tell you right now this really sucks bad for Oleg and it's going to be a rough journey for him. The situation with Frank is just compounding whatever stress may be in his life already.

If anyone can spare the change to donate to Oleg's legal fund to regain ownership of THR, I'd encourage them to do so. I'd want the same done for me.
