Gun confiscation is on the table in Conn.

Politicians, in general, need to get in touch with their constituents, or be thrown out of office.

I agree that we need connection between the People and the politicians, but if you hold your breath waiting for 'them" to contact you (with the exception of when they want campaign donations) all you will get is blue.  As per the first two Articles of our State Constitution:

Article 1 § 1. Powers of people

That all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; for the advancement of those ends they have at all times, an unalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper.

Article 1 § 2. Doctrine of non-resistance

That government being instituted for the common benefit, the doctrine of non-resistance against arbitrary power and oppression is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

It is our (the People's) responsibility to make sure our employees know our interest and feelings about the business before them:

Article 1 § 23. Right of assembly; redress of grievances

That the citizens have a right, in a peaceable manner, to assemble together for their common good, to instruct their representatives, and to apply to those invested with the powers of government for redress of grievances, or other proper purposes, by address or remonstrance.

It seems to me that all gun owners should stand up and take notice to what is happening in CT. Those in CT that sent in their registration paperwork late are about to feel the weight of their government. Turn them in, destroy them, render them inoperable or take them out of State. Those that did not register, expect a visit from the Gestopo after they have un-constitutionally obtained their name from back ground check forms. Wonder if the Gestopo have to register their personally owned tactical rifles and high cap mags. We will have a front row seat on how this plays out.

.... We will have a front row seat on how this plays out.

It will play out in dribs and drabs, one charge at at time most likely found because of investigations and arrests for unrelated issues. It will play out over time as kids and grandkids are "re-educated" enough to turn in those illegal terrible firearms found in their inherited attics.

But it won't play out as some kind of modern day Battle of New London or anything.

^^^^This is what I see^^^^^  It will unfold similar to the ordeal in DC. The man who had a spent 12ga shell in his truck charged with illegal ammunition and a search warrant granted for his home and business. I believe his ex girlfriend also made a complaint that he was keeping firearms in their apartment. Her scheme to get support of $2000 a month. They will get them by one by one. I don't think they will have enough jail space to house the all but the courts will settle for fines and a felony record. They will lose their right to own any weapon and the biggest thing the right to vote!!
