Is there an American Made (safe) rechargable CR123?

All I see out there is the UltraFire crap.  Had one of those burn a hole in the linoleum floor already when it went nuts and threw a smoking hot battery out of the charger.

Safe, reliable rechargeables...anyone using any?

Winger:   We use these: http://www.lighthound.com/AW-RCR123a-Protected-750-mAh-Battery_p_114.html

Here's a sort to all the li protected batteries: http://www.lighthound.com/Li-Ion-Protected-Batteries_c_24.html

I always buy from Lighthound... They aint american (...we buy the AW protected batteries...)... They are the oldest and best built of the rechargable lot... I wont use anything but protected batteries; and will not use more than one protected battery in series... The protection circuits get "confused" when they are in series.... We've used a bunch of 'em over the years with good results... If ya have need for a real "high powered" light; i would recommend the AA types with Sanyo Enloops... We've used a bunch of them too...

Hope this helps...

If you use surefire rechargeable, only put them in the LED lights. After i put them in the flashlight and the bulb went blink, I read that on the instructions

Have used the Sanyo Eneloops in high end photography equipment for years. Have not had 1 single issue and. We were recharging 200 batteries constantly.
