I don't no for fact, but I heard TAC (formerly Coal Creek Armory) may be laser etching. Maybe worth a call.

T.A.C. (coal creek) does the laser engravings as well as there's a guy at the flea market off the 407 exit that does it had him do some on a knife I forged that turned out fairly well -Dusty-

Called T.A.C and they do a laser engraving but it's not really what I'm needing.  They can remove the coating to engrave but say it doesn't really engrave the metal (much).  What I'm really looking for is more someone who could engrave basically a roll stamp depth design.

He had a CNC machine and told me he could do NFA requirements. I don't know about designs and such.

Well, you could go to a local Tennessee College of Applied Technology. At least for the Athens school, at which I'm a student, their machine tool technology course will do outside projects for free. There's a big TCAT in Knoxville. Ya might try that, although keep in mind - the fact you aren't paying means something may happen, so if it's valuable material or a one-shot projects... eh...

What about electro etching. All the materials are easy to find and CHEAP. The hardest part is finding a laser printer to make the stencil.

That is how I am probably going to engrave all my NFA stuff.

StaticUSMC knows of a company in Maryville that does great work for cheap.
