I picked up a 38 special today and trying to find out little more about it.
Gun has some nickel left I will gladly send a pic to someone that could

OK been doing some digging looks to me that is a m&p from 1913 to 1914 with a newer ramped front sight barrel I think.

The gun's only value is as a shooter. It has been renickled, chromed, or something, and well worn since then. If it locks up tight, however, it should be very accurate, and great fun to shoot.

 

The grips, on the other hand, should be worth what the gun is worth if not a bit more.

When I found out that it is between 103 and 106 years old is icing on the cake. It does lock
Up good and has a great trigger. The barrel has been replaced with a newer version
