Found Coyote Dead, NOT TORTURED. SIMPLE TAGGING OF GAME

I don't about you guys but we've uncovered everything that's relevant here, you may not agree with it but it's been informative.

This dog was killed during a contest. The wood block is set in the mouth right after the kill. A random word or code is given to the hunters just before the hunt starts. That word is written on the block and placed in the mouth of a freshly killed coyote. This keeps people from cheating during the contest. The tape is used to keep the block from falling out of the mouth while the coyote is being dragged out of the woods. If the jaw locks you can't get it back open. I've never hunted a contest and never really wanted to, but I don't have a problem with it either.

I've trapped a bunch in the last 6-7 years. I'm not heartless, mean, or psycho. I've helped friends and farmers keep their pets and livestock and I don't regret it for a second. Edited February 21, 2014 by Howler

Trapping is a very noble trade, and a lot of work.  One of the reasons we don't have small game the way we use to is overpopulation of native TN varmints plus the addition of coyotes and armadillos.  TWRA is reportedly going to put emphasis on small game, but it will never work unless they can control the predators.  The only good coyote is a dead one.

The road runner was obviously disguised as a rabbit when it decided to commit acts of cruelty on the coyote.

 

We need to burn all the road runners and rabbits!

Or perhaps, in a strange twist of fate, it was Elmer Fudd coming to the aid of the road runner. After all coyotes are a lot more "wascally" than a "wascally wabbit".

What would you do with it? People generally don't eat coyotes. They are considered a varmint or pest. You can shoot them year round, no limit. What do you do with a mouse when you get it out of a trap?

 

Competition hunting is a great way to try and control the population of these things. They are devastating to game animals such as quail, rabbits, turkeys, deer, etc., as well as livestock.

So are Feral Hogs but we don't kill them! The eggs of ground nesting birds is like chocolate to a hog!

Where and when? Two or three WMA's? Do you know a few land owners who don't charge out the a** to put you on "the list"?

Feral Hogs have more restrictions on them right now than any other game animal out there!
