If you own one of the Asus routers listed below, there is a major vulnerability that opens up your info if you are using aiCloud or any  of the other cloud options as well as several possible backdoor exploits that are patched with an Firmware update. But this firmware update requires you to manually patch. Also, if you are using your Asus Router (Model below) for file sharing, then you are wide open as the File Sharing app opens up another back door.

Go to Asus website for instructions.

Anyone who uses a wireless router should keep the firmware updated anyway, all Routers have vulnerabilities. You can set your Firmware updates to Auto in most of them.

These are the routers requiring the manual firmware update. Hackers have been posting thousands of vulnerable Asus IP addresses on the Hacker sites over the last month.

RT-AC66R, RT-AC66U, RT-N66R, RT-N66U, RT-AC56U, RT-N56R, RT-N56U, RT-N14U, RT-N16, and RT-N16R.

You can download the update and get instructions here.

BTW, if anyone thinks those vulnerabilities were patched, they werent, Asus Engineers announced that yesterday.

thanks for this, but I would recommend that everyone download it directly from the manufacturer not from a third party site.  Never know what kind of fuzzy stuff is inside those files.
