I would say this is very odd (And it is) but until they come back with the post mortem no one knows. But ships are very dangerous  places. When I was a kid it seemed like someone was getting killed on the waterfront every day. My own uncle was killed working on the ships, my father had a giant steel coil roll over him breaking both legs and arms and his back, my uncle Billy was in an incident when they opened a hold and went in and 18 guys got gassed and half a dozen of them died.

This story is still odd considering who they were, where they were and they do not mention any other deaths.

Yes very odd. You are right though, shipboard deaths are not all uncommon, even aboard USS and USNS vessels. And considering the occupation of the deceased it makes for all sorts of unique problems/issues for two of them to die.

2 of our top guys die in the same room and no foul play is suspected? Only thing that would make sense to me is Carbon Monoxide poisoning. I hope they rest in peace and I appreciate their service.

Kevin N. Speers, a senior director for Maersk Line Limited, said in a statement that the security contractors boarded the vessel on January 29, and that their deaths were were "not related to vessel operations or their duties as security personnel."

That statement implies he knows how they died. I wonder why no one is talking?
