Credit card knife only $1.99!!!!

Recommended Posts

I recently received a Cardsharp credit card knife as part of the TGO secret santa exchange. It is a very cool gadget, literally the size of a credit card but folds to form a razor sharp surgical stainless blade in less than 15 seconds. I've seen them selling for $15-$25 plus shipping in the US, which seemed like an average price for a neat knife or gift. But then tonight I came across the same thing being sold direct from the offshore manufacturer for only $1.99 with free shipping via ebay. I have no relation to the foreign seller but thought I would share it here, so you gear nuts could grab a few. I got a bunch to use for friends and gifts. $_3.JPG Enjoy! I got one for myself also. Word on the web was to make sure you get the Sinclair branded one as others were lower quality copies. I have seen the Sinclair ones for around $4 so I leave it to your judgement (There's a good chance the unbranded ones came off the same production line the way things are done these days). Price also seems to vary depending on whether you get the I or II and the black or silver blade.

Just received my 20 knives in the mail today from China. Packed well, individually sealed. I opened and closely inspected one, it looked and worked great, identical to the more expensive Sinclair Cardsharp unit I had previously received from the TGO secret Santa. I could tell no difference whatever, and have concluded that they are the exact same. Quite a bargain, I highly recommend getting them for $1.99 and not paying any more for a supposedly better unit. The only difference appears to be all marketing and packaging.

I bought 10 as well when this posted. I got them about 10 days ago. I'm not sure I'd go to battle with it, but it's definitely something I've thrown in my glovebox, tacklebox, etc. It did a pretty good job on a box though it could use a quick sharpening.

I may order another batch if anyone is interested in a group buy. If we buy a few hundred I can probably get the price down closer to a dollar. Edited by itchytriggerfinger

I had purchased 20 of them and already gave about 10 of those away. Everyone that received one was duly impressed and found it to be quite useful. They make nice little gifts, especially since the US version marketed by Sinclair costs $15-$25, yet these direct from China are the same thing for only $1.99 delivered. I will probably order more once my current stash runs out.
