The pace car fire was the most exciting part of the race.  Nothing like putting one of your products on live national TV and watching it catch fire.

I'd bet GM had practically nothing to do with it.  All they did was have the car(s) delivered to the conversion shop.  The conversion shop wired in the strobe kit, installed the roll cage, and the fire suppression system.

Not to most officers. But there are some that might deserve this from the way they act. I had a car catch on fire on my dads driveway before. Nothing like a faulty battery to run everyone's night and a perfectly good driveway.

I know this isn't really "fair" of me to make this observation but I can't help but wonder if we aren't seeing the natural result of a Government Motors vehicle built by UAW workers.

 

I mean...putting government and a union together to get something done...is it any wonder that the damn thing would catch fire! :)
