Bummer - would have LOVED to see them land in TN, but I suppose Somewhere in Dixie is better than not at all.

Not on Tn land but only 10 miles from its border so close to half those jobs may be filled by people living in Tn.

I wouldn't have looked for the date if I didn't already know about the bribe. Not sure Cummo can bribe his way through this latest deal.

Article i read mentioned research would be done there as well. Id say that close proximity to Redstone Arsenal and Boeing sure didnt hurt matters.

Didn't think about that but that's a good point.

Too bad I just bought a 700, it would have been cool to have one made closer to home.

What about this as a business plan? Sales are up 10 fold due to Bummer. Let's expand to meet the demand, Huntsville AL looks good when the craze ends. Shut down the NY plant. Reason, older equipment, high labor, ect. JTM We the People of the United States, in order to form a more Perfect Union......

Remington expanding in the South and shrinking in the North tells its on story regardless whether or not they've formally announced or planned a move...

It's a bit more the 10 miles south the the stateline.  Right at 30 miles, I drive by the old Chrylser building everyday on my way to Boeing.  But still true, many Tennesseans could work there.

According to an article in the paper, they did look at Lebanon, Clarksville & I think, Memphis, before

deciding on Ala.
