this stuff cracks me up. No online petition is going cost fat Phil his job. How many of these people are actually real? How many are ticket holders?

The one thing that cracks me up even more is that people around here actually think UT football is a premier program in college football.

I just signed Randy Sanders name to it, I also commented to give Phil a raise.

You all ought to be happy anyone will even take that job on the hill. Biggest bunch of fickle fans I have ever seen.

You are right and that's why I didn't sign it. As far as fickled fans go, I think that most schools fans would fall into that category. Once a school wins a National Championship nothing seems to satisfy them any more. Once the bar is set that high there are very few teams that will stay at that level (except USC). Tennessee fans know that they can't be #1 every year but when they are no longer competing as a top 10 team then that is hard to accept. I will be a fan till I die even if they don't win a game! I will always show my colors! I'm not fickled!

Go Vols!

Tn is in their 10th year of penitence to the Football Gods for allowing them to win the National Championship 10 years ago in the luckiest season any team ever had.On your knees Fat Phil and the Suckateers.:P

Same here!

I said it in the other thread,Ill say it here! This season is not the fault of the coach, but the fault of the qb mostly. He sucks major donkey dongs!

For every missed throw, thrown interception,or whatever the team looses faith in their leader on the field.Once that happens no coach can recap what was lost.I sat here and watched that happen a little more with each play Saturday.

Another problem is the High Schools we pick our players from. There is a good reason we have the highest budget in the industry. There is simply no talent anywhere to chose from.

It would be nice to get another great like Manning in the clutches!

Go Gators I love how you Chomped the Vols ARSE.

Actually they didn't "chomp" UT.

Hell,Florida could have stayed home and we still would have lost to them! :dirty:

This team has no leadership. As far as Crompton goes, boys he is the best they got right now.Stephens and Coleman are way behind.I hear you Strickj, the talent level has dropped off a lot but that is because TN can't go into Ga and SC etc. and grab the players they used to.When you have coaches like Rickt,Spurrier,Meyer,Saban, and Miles grabbing all the prospects in their teams states TN is left with slim pickings.TN will go 7-5 and lose a bowl game and Fat Phil will return to regroup for next year.:dirty:

The issue is not this season alone. Coach Fulmer desires less than total adherence to team rules; if you cannot have discipline off the field, you will not have it on the field. Phil cannot win the big games; while FL, AL, and GA have increased in strength and depth, TN continues to decline.

As a person, Phil Fulmer is a good man.

As a coach, I have lost confidence in his ability to get the job done.

My suggestion is for TN to give Phil a nice desk doing something quiet in the athletic department, and hire the coach of my alma mater, East Carolina.

Tell them to talk to Nebraska. They fell all apart a few years back. Tried two different coaches with no avail. Now they are on their 3rd coach and time will tell. Big Red fans are a all or nothing bunch who can`t stand to lose. Shucks, Nebraska can`t even make the top 25 anymore. I still support them and I also support Tennessee since it is my home state. They both need lots of help.

Heard tonight where President Bush was going to appoint Fulmer the Head of Fema. Said he was qualified because he can evacuate 100,000 people from a stadium in less than 30 minutes.

Having them turn it around last year and make it to the SEC title game was the worst thing that could have happened to the program. It would have been better to lose enough to finally force Phil out of his head coaching position. I'm not one to start hollering for a coaching change the minute things don't go as planned but Fulmer really does need to go.

He doesn't recruit the kind of talent he used to. They used to have enough talent and depth to win some tough games in spite of the poor coaching and play calling. These days, they are easily outclassed by their opponents.

Even during the best of times, he has never had control of his players on or off the field. It's been one incident after another in regards to poor sportsmanship, failing grades, and even criminal activity.

UT's football program has been stagnant since 1998 and is way overdue for a head coaching change. I can only hope this season will be bad enough to finally be rid of Fulmer so we can move on.

LOL, Tennessee fans are no more/less fickle than any other teams fans in the SEC.It's the nature of the beast when football is a religion.
