Its a very small town, kinda of poor, but I think it has development opportunity one day.  We have three red lights, a Hardees, a McDonalds and a Dollar General.  We did get a Food City last year, we are moving up.  We do have a vintage 1970s indoor gun range and a pretty cool gun shop.  It definitely is not a yuppy gun shop, but it full of character.  We are home to the Sequoyah Indian museum, which I think is very cool.  Vonore does nest right on the lake, a lake that has access to the Tennessee river and one can go to the Gulf of Mexico from here.  We are a industrial town, with several major industrial employers which I think employee several thousand, both automotive and boating.  Housing is hard to find if you renting, but if you are wanting to buy, there are some good deals and nice houses in all price ranges.  We are within 5 miles of three very nice golf courses.  We are 10 min from the Walmart in Madisonville, 20 Min from the Walmart in Sweetwater and 20 min from the Walmart in Maryville.  We are 45 min from down town Ktown.  25 min from the airport, and 5 min from I-75.  You can drive to Atlanta in about 2 1/2 hours.

I lived here for about 15 years now, I am a transplant from Sevierville.  The reason I mention that, there are no tourists, or or traffic!   Yippy ki-yay!
