need bullet weight and *actual* velocity -- not what box says which is probably out of a pistol but your actual velocity.

its probably going to be close a 25 and 4-6 low at 75 at a ballpark guess.  But what do I know, I make mine to shoot flat.

It also depends on how high your sighs are above the axis of the bore. The simple thing to do is to shoot it and see for yourself; not guess.

Jonnin, thanks for the ballpark. Most likely 115gr blazer or umc. Velocity is unknown; how much "extra" ffpsdo you typically generate with a 16" barrel?

If you are zeroing at 50 yards here is the drops in an AR:

25 yards= +.6"

50 yards= 0.0

75 yards= -1.0"

100 yards= -3.8"

125 yards= -8.5"

The bullet will be within a 1" of those numbers above with pretty much any weight out of a carbine. BTW, those number are based on a 115 grain bullet at 1,320 fps.

If it's a 3MOA red dot then at 100 yards the red dot covers 3".

In this case you can pretty much hold dead on ( center dot on center target) according to the numbers Dolo listed. Actually you'll be about 3/4" low at 100, but a red dot is not really for "exact" POA/POI shooting.

If it's a 2MOA red dot, that means the dot will cover a 2" area at 100 yards. It would be dead on at 50 yards and hold 1 dot high at 100 and be about 1/4" high.

I will go ahead and point out the likely hood of the numbers above actually working out in the real world are not likely.

You're going to need to take it to a range and figure it out. But on paper the numbers above should get you close.
