For those who might not see this:

Yeah, so it's a totally posed Crimson Trace ad in American Rifleman (tagline: "the guy with the laser survived")

But it's such a visual statement of an "aftermath" -- rather powerfully sums up the idea that even with a "good" outcome, there will always be dues to pay ...

I've thought about a laser sight but I was curious though, could perhaps a prosecution lawyer try to make the jury believe you intended to kill your advesary by having a laser. Thought this might fall under the "reloaded ammo was designed to kill the person" argument.

Tennessee does not have a "must retreat" clause so any argument that you meant to kill your assailant should be met by a resounding Duh! from your attorney.

While I would never make a statement to the police or in court that it was my intention to kill someone.....like you said, duh.

In court or to the police it is, "It was my intention to stop the threat."

A laser sight, certain ammo, caliber of weapon, etc... was simply to help me accomplish that goal.
