Aside from football one of the best things about Fall is...

It's good motherf'in beer. It'll get you drunk! MMMMM MMMMM... B**CH! --Dave Chappelle

I seriously love this stuff. Easy drinking, a bit on the sweet side. Goes great with hot and spicy foods and equally goes well all by itself. Perfect for sucking down with hotwings, chili or sipping on the deck while enjoying the cool Fall breeze and watching the sun lazily drift behind the horizon.

Anyone else got a good Fall beer recommendation? Post it!

Pretty good stuff. I brewed a batch of Oktoberfest 7 weeks ago. One more week and it will be ready to go! Just in time for the real festival!

I only brew it once a year out of tradition, but it is certainly my ALL TIME favorite!

I have not had that one. I have tried the Delirium Nocturnum and it is one of the best commercial beers that I have tried. It always scores well on beeradvocate.com too.

The Nocturnum is one I have not tried. I guess I'll be picking some up tomorrow!

Speaking of beer, have any of you guys gone to the Knoxville Brewer's Jam? I was wondering if it would be worth missing a day of football games.

make sure you have a designated driver first off. There is no way to go to that thing and not get a buzz on. We had a booth last year and poured several kind of beer.

I am guessing there must have been near 40 venders pouring beer. It seemed that people got in line, got there beer and then stepped into the next line to drink the beer. It pretty much looked like a hoot to just be hanging out and imbibing. They have food venders and live music too. I have not seen a date for this one yet.

It's October 11, the same day as the UT Georgia game. I'm probably going to be the designated for a car load. :D The tickets are $30 in advance, and $35 at the gate. They have a website up if you google it. Do the brewers sell 6 packs there to take home, or is it all strictly on tap? Last time we went to Milwaukee we had a trunk full of beer. It would be nice to have some reserves of the good stuff at the house again.

I tried this because of your rec. Pretty darn tasty.

I do not believe there is any beer "to go" at the Brewers Jam. Not everyone used draft beer. We had bottle beer as did several other venders.
