If I wanted a gun to put back and keep mint this could be it.

However, any gun I get I have to shot so I must pass on this.

A Firearm Worthy of George Jones’ Signature

However, in my opinion they picked the wrong song for it, "He Stopped Loving Her Today,"

It should have been "who's going to fill their shoes."  I would probably have stepped up for it then.

Goes to show that we all have different tastes. I'm glad someone can make this for the people who do like it.

I want it but not for that price....

$1895 will buy you a Colt Single Action Army, and a bunch of ammo to boot. Investment wise, it will be miles ahead of that gaudy Uberti copy, both now and forever. Heck, it wouldn't take much more than that to get a second generation Colt unfired in the box.

I'm not a fan of commerative guns, and haven't yet seen one that would hold it's value compared to a regular production, high quality farearm.

I guess it was more of being a George Jones fan.   But no, wasn't going to buy it.

I really do like that Colt posted above.

Now owning George's guitar, or some fancy suit he wore on tour would be awesome. Just not a commemerative gun.

Heck, I'd like to have the John Deere he got a dui while driving!

Whitewolf, if that's yours, I'm sure interested in hearing abit more about it.

Dude, I WISH. I am normally all about tacticool mall ninja stuff but THIS is just pure awesome. I am a BIG fan of fancy western era firearms.

Plenty of uglier guns that you could get for around the same price, just look in either of the NRA magazines every issue. Like a "Commemorative" Civil War Model 94.

Yep, that's something would (Not give $300 for)

I saw a commemorative 870 in a magazine the other day for around $1900.  Does anyone actually buy these things?  I just prefer guns that I can actually use myself.

I see you left some out, FTFY. I mean, obviously for $1900 it comes with some perks, right?

Where are the commemorative guns for Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Les Paul and Duane Allman?

Or Hunter S Thompson. He was a gun nut and I wouldn't mind a Colt SA with custom sculpting work to look like his two thumbed death cannon he was shot out of after his demise. At least, that was the plan. Dunno if he ever built the thing or not, but can't you just see yourself owning a commemorative one of these inlet with 12lbs of gold leaf?

For that price it need to have an old-timey rotating music box in the cylinder to play the tune.

I am gonna agree with the ugly folks.   To me it reeks of a slapdash design to exploit the death of the man for a quick buck.
