First trip to DQ

Recommended Posts

Had my first trip to Dairy Queen today. Been shooting since 09 so I suppose I was due. Doing a slidelock reload jammed the back of my strong hand into a barrel with exit holes and sliced the back of my hand which made me loosen my grip. Just knocked the gun out of my hand but thankfully it was unloaded. Maybe that'll be a one time experience LOL

It sounds painful, but what does all that mean? If the slide was locked back after the last round fired your strong hand was on the grip. What are “exit holes” and “Dairy Queen’?

DQ-disqualitfied on a run or course of fire?

Barrel with exit holes? ...one of the blue plastic barrels used for cover or part of a course of fire.

Had a few exit holes with rough edges and smacked his hand against one during a reload and caused him to drop his gun.

Thus the disqulaification.

Am I right or even close in my interpretation of that gibberish.

Even with your explanation I still have no idea what you are talking about. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Bullets hit the barrel and punch holes in them at times. He cut his hand on one that was used as cover. It's one of those things you'll see and go OHHH that's what they meant!

Ha ha....... Then we will call them white bastereds. See ya this weekend, me and my pro 9mm will be there.

If you have never done it you should at least try it once or just go and watch.

It can be a lot of fun and you can even get some good experience and its an opportuinity to learn.

Its been a long while since I have shot in any matches, but generally, most of the people you meet

there will be good folks and helpful.
