If this would end at low level offenses I could see it. But it will not. The moment he decided it, the standards were changed. Low level offenses do not mean "As long as you dont have a life or death sentence and are considered no threat to the public". There are plenty in the prison system who have murdered multiple people who are considered no threat to the public Because they have found God or something like it), and do not have life or death sentences.

 

With Obama now able to stack the Federal Courts, since November all three of the three judges of the D.C. Circuit Court that were filibustered by Republicans have been confirmed through the simple majority vote, thanks to the Nuclear Option, I predict this will lead to violent offenders being released. On top of that, Constitutionally Obama has the authority to issue pardons, why he would even bother using executive actions is beyond my limited legal knowledge.

 

He will be releasing more than half a million convicts. This is what Castro did, then sent them to the US on the Mariel Boat lift. This is what Obama is doing, but all of them, even the "Formerly" violent criminals, will be walking our streets.

He mentioned in his SOTU speech last week of again closing Guantanamo. I should think that would be easy. Just dig a very large hole and then line them up against a wall and send all of them to collect their 71 virgins. Put them in the hole and cover it up and bring our troops home from Cuba. Well of course he is going to use “Executive Action” to override the courts and the DOC; why wouldn’t he?

Free healthcare for the poor, illegals will get immunity (and the vote), try to find ways to put the long term unemployed in government jobs ahead of those that deserve them, now he is going to let criminals out of jail without serving their sentence.

Whoever gets this guy’s support in the next election will be tough to beat; if it can even be done.

I think we are yet to see the appalling stuff he will do before leaving office
