My mom bought me some jalapeno pimento cheese at Food Lion today, and I just got the idea of making a fried pimento cheese sandwich.

Before I go in the kitchen and make an abomination, has anyone ever had one or even heard of one, and was it good?

I can't believe I hadn't thought of that before. I could go for a fried peanut butter & jelly with a tall glass of ice cold milk.  :yum:

I use a cream cheese based pimento cheese in my case-a-dee-as along with a little shredded cheese and salsa. I've used it on sandwiches but never a fried cheese sandwich.

I'm sure it will be fantastic. Post pics.

My wife loves them we do pan fried pimento cheese with tomato soup for dinner fairly often. She didn't like when I added habeanero to it. To much heat for her

I love Grilled Cheese Sandwiches so I will now be trying this new one as it sounds great with hot bowl of tomato soup and glass of cold milk for sure................

If you want to take it way over the top mix a can of the large family sized tomato soup with one regular sized can of cheddar cheese soup. Then have it with you grilled cheese sandwich.

It was great, guys. I put a piece of some cooked ham from the food lion deli on there to contrast the sweetness of the pimento cheese, and it turned out great.

Tied it all together with some Lays wavy hickory barbeque chips, and a cup of sweet tea.

Next time you make a grilled cheese use mayo instead of butter on the bread...... it's fantastic.

My girlfriend keeps telling me that, but I'm kind of wary of it for some reason.

Sounds good. I will have to try that.

We got a panini press at Christmas. One of the first things I tried in it was pimento cheese. I use that fake butter flavored spray release instead of butter, but it was still damn good.

Mayo is basically oil, egg, vinegar, and spices (some + sugar). It's almost like batter, or dipping in egg for french toast.

Give it a shot.
