KNOXVILLE — A clerk at a Sunoco convenience store pulled a gun on a would-be robber Sunday evening, apparently thwarting the crime, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

A man looking to rob the Ebenezer Market, at the Sunaco station at 600 Ebenezer Road, walked into the store, indicated he had a weapon and then demanded cash from the register at about 8:45 Sunday night.

The clerk then pulled out a gun in self-defense and the man ran out of the store, authorities said.

A complete description of the suspect was not immediately available.

Video on the news last nite.  Clerk was alert and ready.  In the video it is hard to tell if the BG had a gun or not as he withdrew his hand from his right pocket.  Definitely had something in his hand, but from the video just not that clear.  Clerk didn't shoot, BG still on the loose but I bet he had to change his underwear.

It's in a very nice neighborhood, so this stuff isn't restricted to the innercity.

And the same store got robbed when it was a Weigles about a year ago. Hopefully, the scum will think before they ever hit that store again.
